Grommet Slings are loops of wire rope, also known as 'endless' loops, typically made from wire rope but can also be made from other materials such as polyester. Cable-laid grommets are a type of continuous sling that are made up of six strands twisted around (laid helically) a central wire core.
Unlike cable-laid ropes, grommets are produced from a single length of steel wire rope. This means that the ends of the wire rope are tucked into the grommet through a splicing process to form the core.
Grommet Slings offer numerous benefits over other slinging methods, including increased flexibility, ease of use, and greater weight load limits.
Grommet Sling is mostly used for Heavy object Lifting. Grommet slings are versatile in their application and can be utilized for various purposes such as relocating an object or load, suspending it from a bridge or tower, and aiding in lifting when attached to a crane, among other potential uses.
